I recently stayed at the Four Points By Sheraton in Haidian for the beginnings and the end of my three-week trip to China. While the staff was friendly and eager to assist, the hotel itself showed signs of age, particularly in the room furnishings and dining options. The breakfast buffet was underwhelming, with some dishes being stale, making me wish I had explored nearby dining options instead.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were quite basic and showing their age, with some plumbing issues and noticeable wear on the carpets. However, they were clean and the housekeeping staff did a great job.
Service
6.0
The hotel staff were friendly and tried their best to help. However, language barriers often led to misunderstandings, making communication challenging at times. They were courteous, but not always effective.
Location
6.0
The Haidian district is not the prime area for tourists, but it was convenient for my needs, close to local businesses and schools. If you're looking to explore the Olympic Park area, it's not a bad location.
Dining
5.0
Dining at the hotel was hit or miss. I found the breakfast buffet not up to par, with stale options, while the a la carte dinner had better food quality and presentation. However, I would recommend looking for local restaurants nearby to get a better meal.
Facilities
5.0
While the hotel offered some decent facilities like dry cleaning and concierge services, the amenities were limited, and my room's advertised features, such as a mini bar and room service hours, were not accurately represented.

5.2/10

During my stay, the hotel had its ups and downs. The staff were really friendly and went out of their way to help me, which I appreciated. However, the air conditioning in my room was set at a fixed 25 °C, making it uncomfortable for sleeping. The breakfast buffet had a decent spread, but some items were stale and didn’t meet my expectations.

Rooms
6.0
The room was generally okay, but the fixed temperature air-conditioning made it quite hot, and there was a bad sewer gas smell from the bathroom. The glass window between the bed and bathroom was a strange design choice.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and helpful, although sometimes they seemed confused by my requests. They did their best to assist, but their limited English skills sometimes made communication tricky.
Location
6.0
Located in the Haidian District, it was convenient for my needs, but it's not the best area for tourists. It was good for me since I wanted to be close to where I needed to go.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was a mix. While the presentation was beautiful, some food was stale and barely edible. Breakfast had many options, but the quality varied significantly.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities included a nice pool and sauna, but I felt the description of the spa facilities was misleading. Room service was also confusing with limited options after hours.

I had a mixed experience at the Four Points By Sheraton Beijing, Haidian. The hotel offers a great breakfast buffet and friendly staff. but the location is quite far from main attractions and the rooms are starting to show their age. While the restaurant service was commendable, I faced some hiccups with room service and miscommunication about amenities. Overall, it's decent for business travelers but might not be ideal for a luxurious stay.

Rooms
6.0
My room was comfortable and clean, but definitely starting to show its age with worn-out carpets and plumbing fixtures. The advertised amenities like the hot tub were misleading, as I found the bath just standard and not particularly special.
Service
8.0
The hotel staff were helpful, and I appreciated their friendliness. especially during my arrival when Ms. Fu went out of her way to assist me with a taxi. However, there were some service miscommunications that affected my overall experience.
Location
6.0
The location isn't great for tourists as it's about 30-40 minutes by taxi from major attractions. however, it was convenient for my meetings nearby and there were a few restaurants and a mall within walking distance.
Dining
7.0
I enjoyed the breakfast buffet with plenty of options. though I encountered some issues with room service. The a la carte evening meals were delicious and well-presented, showing the kitchen's effort in creating quality dishes.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel has several facilities like a restaurant and bar. but I found the in-room information misleading about room service hours and amenities, which was quite frustrating during my stay.

6.4/10

My stay at Four Points By Sheraton Beijing, Haidian was quite a mixed bag. On one hand, the staff was friendly and the dining options were varied and tasty. but on the other hand, the service had its shortcomings and I experienced quite a few inconveniences during my visit. Overall, it offers a decent alternative but I wouldn't recommend it for those expecting an upscale experience.

Rooms
6.0
I found the room to be clean and spacious, but it lacked some features that were promised, like a true mini bar and the advertised hot tub functionality. It felt more like a standard hotel room rather than an executive one.
Service
6.0
While some staff were genuinely helpful and friendly, there were instances of poor communication and a lack of knowledge about the offered services. I faced confusion regarding room service availability and the provided amenities.
Location
6.0
The hotel's location in the Haidian district isn't ideal for tourists looking to explore central Beijing, but it's quite convenient for visitors with specific business or academic interests in the area.
Dining
7.0
Dining options were one of the highlights. the food was plentiful and flavorful, spanning both traditional Chinese and Western offerings. However, don't expect gourmet cuisine; it's more on the casual side.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had basic facilities like a swimming pool and laundry service. However, I did experience issues with the advertised spa features not being as expected, which was somewhat disappointing.

My stay at Four Points By Sheraton Beijing, Haidian was a mixed bag. The location is decent for local access, but it's not great for tourists looking to hit central attractions. The service was friendly, although the language barrier sometimes made communication tricky. Overall, it’s a solid option if you're not expecting top-tier international hotel experiences, but there were definitely areas that need improvement.

Rooms
5.0
The room was spacious and relatively clean, but it was super hot since the air conditioning didn’t work. I experienced some issues with the bathroom plumbing that left an unpleasant smell, but they were accommodating when I asked to change rooms.
Service
6.0
The staff were nice and went through the motions of being helpful, but their limited English skills sometimes made it hard to get exactly what I needed. Still, they were friendly and eager to assist where they could.
Location
5.0
The hotel is located in Haidian district, which is more local and not in the bustling tourist areas. It’s not unmanageable, but I found it requires some planning for getting to attractions as a tourist.
Dining
5.0
Dining was hit and miss; the food had good variety, but I experienced some issues with the breakfast buffet, which had stale food and missing items. While the dinner I had was better, it fell short of my expectations for a hotel of this brand.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were basic, with room service and some amenities missing or not meeting what was advertised. I had high hopes for a mini bar and spa services which didn’t deliver as promised.
